University of Murcia is involved in the work of energy efficiency for several years. The number of buildings currently connected to the City Explorer Platform is more than 30. The services offered in each of these buildings are different according to need. All buildings are connected to fire detection system as well as security control equipment provided by the University. Examples of some of the services enable by City Explorer Platform for that buildings are:
- Access control
- Energy efficiency
In the University of Murcia buildings where City Explorer has been installed and is operational, it has already managed to save up to 23% of power consumption. In order to achieve this saving, integration, optimization and monitoring measures were carried out. At present, all data collected is being analyzed and the impact of different factors implied is assessed with environmental and situational aspects.
