ANASTACIA: Security and Trust in IoT Solutions

A large number of devices (devices, drones and even devices embedded in clothing) are currently connected to the Internet, interacting with each other. Their applications often overlook the security and protection of personal information, which has recently led to a series of cyber-attacks on personal data. The lack of an industrial and academic consensus for the standardization of processes, protocols and practices for the provision of services for this type of infrastructure has not helped either.

OdinS brings its extensive experience in IoT cybersecurity to the project, providing solutions to create an integral platform of IoT equipment. OdinS will also implement mechanisms to monitor devices, respond to cyber attacks, and manage the development of embedded control agents on local devices or remote servers. The response to detected cyber attacks will be automatic.

The ANASTACIA project aims to overcome these problems with an integrated platform to provide secure services in IoT-based architectures,” explains Rodrigo Díaz, head of the Cyber Security Laboratory at Atos. “The solution will provide mechanisms to ensure security in each phase of the life cycle of these services: from development with solutions based on the principles of Design Security, to evaluation and response to risks and threats based on monitoring devices “.

In addition, ANASTACIA will allow the integration of resources present in other types of networks, such as Cloud, through the orchestration of virtual components such as Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) , for greater control over the whole system security. ANASTACIA will also develop a Security and Privacy certificate that will provide an overall view of the security level of an IoT infrastructure.
Co-funded by the Horizon 2020 program of the European Commission, ANASTACIA is supported by a consortium of 14 partners from 7 different countries, including Atos (Spain), Softeco (Italy), Thales (France), Ericsson (Spain), Montimage (France), National Research Council (CNR), University of Aalto (Finland), Ubitech (Greece), Mandat International (Switzerland), Device Gateway (Switzerland) and Archimede Solutions.
